Smith Conerly also represents clients in zoning, land use, and permitting matters before local governments and has done so throughout the Metro-Atlanta area, including the cities of Atlanta, Hapeville, Newnan, Douglasville, Cartersville, and Canton and before the Boards of Commissioners in Fulton, Gwinnett, Cobb, DeKalb, and Cherokee counties.

Smith Conerly also has a comprehensive bankruptcy practice, representing debtors and creditors in Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 cases. Significantly, Smith Conerly is one of few firms outside of Atlanta consistently and successfully representing debtors in Chapter 11 cases from Rome to Columbus.
